WhatsApp Messaging Policy and Acceptable Use Policy
This policy explains acceptable use for WhatsApp messages sent through PG2U Broadcast.
Consent Required
Users must send WhatsApp messages only to recipients who have opted in or otherwise provided valid permission to receive the relevant business messages. PG2U Broadcast stores opt-in source, opt-in time, opt-out time, phone number, and consent evidence so users can manage permission before sending campaigns.
Allowed Messaging
- Customer service updates, account notifications, and operational announcements.
- Transactional, appointment, order, delivery, billing, or support messages.
- Marketing messages only when allowed by law, WhatsApp policy, approved template category, and recipient consent.
Prohibited Use
- Spam, unsolicited bulk messaging, scraping, purchased contact lists, or deceptive opt-ins.
- Messages involving fraud, phishing, impersonation, malware, or illegal products or services.
- Harassment, hateful content, adult sexual content, violence, or regulated goods where prohibited.
- Messaging recipients who have opted out, blocked the sender, or withdrawn consent.
Opt-Out Handling
Users must provide a clear way for recipients to stop messages and must honor opt-out requests promptly. Contacts marked opted out in PG2U Broadcast must not be included in future campaigns.
